Mommy Makeover

Pregnancy can bring about many changes to your body, making it difficult to feel confident. The mommy makeover is the most comprehensive and transformative way to restore your figure and reverse the effects of childbearing.

What is a Mommy Makeover?

A mommy makeover is a suite of surgical procedures performed at once and designed to target the areas of the body most impacted by pregnancy and nursing like the stomach and breasts. It usually includes a combination of some of the following procedures:

  • Tummy Tuck
  • Liposuction
  • Breast Lift
  • Breast Augmentation

In general, the aim of a mommy makeover procedure is to remove stubborn “baby” weight and sagging, stretched skin. These are concerns which can’t be addressed by traditional diet and exercise, causing many moms to struggle with their body confidence after childbirth.

What patients are saying

“I have wanted a “mommy makeover” for over 15 years and finally was able to get one. Dr. Watterson was 100% the right doctor for me. I did a lot of research and had consultations with several doctors, but I knew the second I met Dr. Watterson he was the right choice for me. He made me feel so comfortable and truly cared about me. I wasn’t just another case or patient like other doctors made me feel. If you are considering plastic surgery I recommend calling his office. The whole staff is wonderful. I don’t regret my decision at all!”

“I highly recommend Premier Plastic Surgery for all of your cosmetic and reconstructive needs.
Everyone I’ve worked with has been so nice, informative, personable, and professional. From the front office ladies, all of the nurses, and Dr Howland, I’ve felt like a cared for individual every single time I’ve gone in.”

“Dr Fryer is so patient, kind and does a great job of understanding what you want (even if you may not know what you want yourself!) his office and staff are so nice and accommodating. I had some unusual circumstances with my augmentation, but Dr Fryer made everything right without making me feel stupid or silly! Thank you Dr Fryer!”

Who’s a Good Candidate for a Mommy Makeover?

Good candidates for a mommy makeover are women who are healthy and recovered from childbirth, as well as finished having children. Because the mommy makeover involves more than one surgical procedure, it comes with extensive downtime so patients should be able to take time away from tasks around the house, child and pet care, and completing errands for a significant amount of time. If any of these factors are of concern, your plastic surgeon can help you plan the right time for your procedure.

In order to get the most out of your mommy makeover, it’s important to have healthy habits in place like diet and exercise. It’s also important to take steps to prevent future pregnancy since it (along with weight fluctuations) can impact your results.

What Happens During a Mommy Makeover?

Your surgical session will be unique to your selected procedures and needs. However, a mommy makeover is performed under general anesthesia. Your plastic surgeon will perform the appropriate procedures according to your surgical plan. Depending on the extensiveness of your mommy makeover, you may need to stay overnight in the hospital for monitoring before returning home.

Mommy Makeover Results and Recovery

You can expect to take several weeks away from your normal schedule to recover from your procedure. Because the mommy makeover combines 2-3 procedures into a single surgical session, downtime will be substantial. You’ll be given detailed instructions by our team based on your unique procedures, but in general, you should plan to limit your activity level and arrange for help with child or pet care for a few weeks. You’ll experience bruising, swelling, and discomfort for the first 1-2 weeks and it can take up to a few months for residual swelling to subside. You’ll begin to see your final results emerge over the course of 6 months to a year. As long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle and prevent future pregnancies, you can expect your results to last for the long term.
