Brow Lift

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, eliminates expression lines and signs of aging on your forehead. The brow lift minimizes creases that have developed along your forehead, between your eyes or on the bridge of your nose. It is also used to improve frown lines. Often, patients will combine brow lift with blepharoplasty to both reposition a low/sagging brow and to make the eyes look more rested, alert and youthful.

The doctors of Premier Plastic Surgery Group of Utah remain on the cutting edge of plastic surgery techniques, performing both the conventional brow lift (coronal brow lift) and the endoscopic brow lift. The coronal brow lift is more invasive and requires a longer recovery period, while the endoscopic procedure uses smaller incisions and cameras.

Even with the more invasive technique, the days of having a long incision from the tip of one ear to the tip of the other ear are gone. We utilize a variety of incisions to minimize your scarring by making a series of small incisions and hiding the incisions in your hairline so that they are inconspicuous when healed.

During the surgery, the muscle and tissue in your forehead that cause your brow to droop are raised. Your forehead is then repositioned to leave it looking smoother. Other anti-aging procedures that we can perform in conjunction with a brow lift include eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), dermal fillers and fat transfers, facelift, and laser skin resurfacing.

It is important to understand that brow lift surgery does not prevent or slow down the aging process; however, it certainly makes you look younger by improving the horizontal lines and furrows that may make you appear older, angry, tired or sad.

During your consultation, the doctor will review your medical history and perform a physical examination. Your physical examination will be used to assess your facial bone structure, underlying skin structure, brow position, eyelid and eye aesthetics, skin thickness, texture, and elasticity. This information will be used to formulate your surgical plan according to your goals and desired aesthetic outcome.
