Arm Lift

NYC Arm Lift As you age your skin loses elasticity and gravity starts to take over. Many women begin to notice the skin on the their upper arms start to sag away from the muscle and bone. This sagging skin will wiggle or shake whenever you wave or move your arms. When diet and exercise alone are not achieving the shape and contour your desire, you may want to consider an arm lift.

An arm lift, or otherwise known as brachioplasty, removes excess skin and fat deposits on your upper arms, leaving them with a more pleasing look. We tighten this loose and saggy skin to make your arm look and feel more youthful. The incision extends from the elbow to the underarm, and sometimes on to the side of the chest. In some instances, liposuction may be recommended alone or in conjunction with an arm lift to remove excess fat in the upper arms.

Recovery from arm lift takes time. Plan to take time before resuming your normal lifestyle because you will not be able lift anything for a couple weeks. This means if your job is more physically strenuous, you will want to plan to take a time off. And if you are a mother with young children, you will not be able to lift them, so you should plan to have extra help around for a short time after your procedure.
